HSNP payment in TurkanaHSNP is looking forward to paying Cycle 11 (March-April) to 74,139 households across the four Counties of Turkana, Mandera, Wajir and Marsabit. Each household will receive Kshs. 4,900 and the total budget for this is Kshs. 540,045,100.00. Feedback from the beneficiaries is that with the cash transfers, they are able to better cope with the ongoing drought where they experience high prices of food and other hardship. HSNP beneficiaries share that with the cash, they are under less pressure to sell off their assets such as livestock. The circulation of large amounts of money every two months contribute to the wider economic growth in these Counties.
